Although we had to turn the frost protection fans on at 5am this morning, the weather really seems to be taking a trend to warmer days.
In the vineyard, the vines are about 90% through budbreak with just a couple of straggler varieties left to break out as the weather goes through its spring ups and downs temperature-wise. We will soon do the final pruning and get ready for the “grand growth” of the canopy.
In the winery, we have bottled up the 2023 white wines and will release a couple of great surprises in May.
We have a great weekend ahead with live music on the deck and temperatures in the mid to high 70s. PERFECT!!! On Friday it will be blues from Rogue Rage Duo and on Sunday Tension Deficit will entertain everyone on the deck and on the lawn. For wine club members we are placing a couple of our most popular warm weather wines on sale. Of course we will have a variety of 10″ pizzas and other snacks available all weekend long.
