The 2017 Harmonie is a wholly unique wine that could only be made by Pebblestone. The nose is a wonderful blend of the peppercorn and deep fruit notes from the Sryah and the stark Bordeaux cherry and mild green pepper from the Cabernet Sauvignon. Combined they give a poached fruit character with rosemary and thyme to balance the aroma profile. On the palate this wine is a full-bodied, luxurious red that delights with a myriad of flavors. Lighter notes of sweetness from the oak profile lead, and then dark, dense savory characters of dark baking chocolate and fine Turkish spices finish. Strong tannin from the Cabernet Sauvginon lends itself to this seductive red’s finish, and long lingering flavors of dried fruit and cedar smoke delight retronasally. Drink now or age 5-8 years.
