The 2016 Pebblestone Mélange continues the long tradition of Bordeaux-style blends here at Pebblestone. Being one or the warmest years in the past 17, this particular blend showcases what a great growing season can do for an already stellar blend. A full-bodied red, the wines starts with more fruit forward, almost candied notes and sweet oak lactones. We see a bit more accent on the Cabernet Franc, as it displays its peppery character ahead of the rich molasses and plum of the Merlot. The Cabernet Sauvignon plays well with all the others, lending its refined tannin profile to the overture. All of the elements balance each other, and once again we have an incredible illustration of our signature blend. Enjoy now or age for 5-10 years.
