Hailing from the picturesque Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon, The Valley Duo brings audiences a heartfelt blend of songs from the ‘60s, ‘70s, and timeless classics across a variety of genres. Known for their tight two-part vocal harmonies and a refreshingly authentic sound, The Valley Duo delivers music the old-school way—without computer-generated backing tracks or drum machines—just pure voices and acoustic charm.

Laura was born in Waukegan, Illinois, and grew up surrounded by music. Her father was a drummer and vocalist in a swing band, her mother played piano, and her siblings sang and played guitar—so it was only natural that harmonizing became second nature to her. Over the years, Laura has lent her voice to community choirs, barbershop quartets, and gospel groups, including two decades as a member of Kirby Shaw’s Community Choir.

Scott found his musical inspiration in the 1960s, learning guitar as bands like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones shaped the soundtrack of a generation. After a career as an educator, he now devotes his time to making music, performing with The Valley Duo, and experimenting in his home recording studio, Medford Studio, where he collaborates with other musicians purely for the joy of creating.

Together, Laura and Scott form The Valley Duo, offering audiences a nostalgic, harmony-rich experience that celebrates the golden era of music with warmth and authenticity.
