Final Harvest of 2024

10-25-24

The final harvest began yesterday at about 7am in the morning and another cold 30 degree morning with ice on the picking bins. We harvested Cabernet Sauvignon from two different blocks and Petit Verdot. All grapes achieved perfect numbers once again and hold the promise of of luscious wine in the future.

In general, 2024 has overall been a great growing year although the weather has kept us on our toes all summer. Fall ripening on the other hand has been a steady glide to the finish except one nasty 15 minute hail storm along the way…

This weekend is a another enjoyable musical weekend at the Tasting Room most likely inside with rain and cooler weather in the forecast. On Friday night Joshua Paul entertained all that attended and everyone enjoyed our TGIFriday music and Pizza. Sunday we will welcome back McAlvage and Fretwell consisting of Bekkah McAlvage and her duo partner Jef Fretwell.

Finally another reminder for wine club members — don’t forget that your Fall Wine Club release is available for pickup in the tasting room.

We hope to see you in the tasting room with family and friends this weekend enjoying the wine, new releases, pizza, music and fall scenery.
