The 2017 Malbec from Pebblestone is an old world vintage. The wine displays aromas and flavors that would make any Bordeaux producer proud. The wine leads with violets, hillside tarragon and rosemary, and gives fruit aromas of blueberry and black raspberry. The palate also shines as an old world wine, leading with herbs but immediately showcasing the black raspberry notes the nose hints at. As the wine evolves in the glass we can perceive a wide array of characters, from licorice and marzipan to soft tannin and gentle oak influence. The minerality of Pebblestone’s unique soils are easily perceptible here, too. Drink now or age for up to 8 years.
