Heading into Winter

The leaves are falling from the vines and all the nets and bins are stored away as we shut down the vineyard for winter. Swarms of starlings are migrating south and are acting as the cleanup crew in the vineyard, scavenging any remaining grapes left on the vine.

All in all it was a good year for grape quality, with the crop achieving perfect ripeness and balance. Currently, many of the wines have finished fermentation and are beginning the aging process. We look forward to sampling them soon!

This weekend we have some great music on tap from our local talented musicians. Tonight, Marshal Thompson and Fred Epping entertain in the tasting room with a blend of country and folk favorites. On Sunday, Carla Bauer and John Galloway will entertain with songs from the 60s on.

As always, we will have Pizzas, some great snack plates and sharable platters available to pair with a great bottle of wine.

Finally, don’t miss the inventory Blowout sale of Grenache Rosé at an an incredible price of $108 per case for wine club members. This is a very versatile wine and will pair perfectly with the Thanksgiving dinner.

See you all tonight for the Music, the Wine and the Pizza!
