Crazy, Changeable Weather as We Head into Fall and Harvest!

Many of you may have experienced the severe hail storm that blew through our area and vineyard last week. We did suffer some damage to the grape vine canopies and some clusters of the different varieties. So much for a perfect growing season. However, we are thankful that it was not as bad as it could have been; the happy vines were stunned (as were we) but are now recovering. We won’t have to do much leaf thinning this year, but we will have to drop more fruit than we expected to bring the vines into balance.

The forecast for the week in front of us calls for a storm beginning Friday night and continuing through Saturday morning. Then it is supposed to warm up again with sunny weather on Sunday with highs into the mid 70s. It is very likely that our musical entertainment will be in the tasting room on Friday and Saturday, then hopefully outside on Sunday. We will make the location decisions the day of the event. Please remember that while we have the ability to accommodate about 45 to 50 people inside the tasting room, it is always wise to call ahead for reservations to be sure of indoor seating for your group.

We have scheduled a busy weekend of entertainment this weekend. We have the talented Rogue Rage Duo on TGIFriday evening and the amazing Holly Gleason Band on Sunday. On Saturday, we are hosting the monthly Ukulele Jam which is well attended by players and listeners alike. See our Event Calendar for details on all.

On the wine front, we have a BLOWOUT SALE on the remaining cases of the 2016 Syrah and we are serving notice that our inaugural vintage of our popular 2022 White Malbec is almost gone.

We hope to see you in the tasting room with family and friends this weekend inside our spacious AIR CONDITIONED tasting room or out on the great lawn area when the weather permits.
