With the heat of last week and the forecast for the rest of the month, July 2024 is shaping up to be one of the hottest on record. This, of course, has meant a record amount of heat accumulation (Growing Degree Days) which is moving the maturation of the grape crop along rapidly. El Niño which is driving this heat bubble is reported to be ending, and we will be entering a neutral phase of weather influence. If this does come to pass, we may see a gradual drop off in temperatures in the coming months and a pleasant “coast” into harvest. So stay tuned…
Fortunately, our tasting room is AIR CONDITIONED and we will continue to hold all music events inside until the temperatures moderate. We have the ability to accommodate about 45 to 50 people inside, but make sure to call for reservations to be sure of seating for your group indoors.
