It’s going to be a sizzler this weekend! 🥵
Summer is in full swing with highs at or near 110. Fortunately, our tasting room is air conditioned and we will have seating inside to accommodate those that want to come out to enjoy wine and music in a comfortable setting. 😎
While the heat is good for the grapes, they have an upper limit of about 95 degrees, at which time they shut down and wait for the cooler night air. We have almost completed the “grand growth” phase and are now hedging the canopy to encourage the vines to focus on growth and maturation of the grapes. We will soon be leaf stripping and fruit dropping to reach the proper and desired crop load for high quality wine grapes.
For entertainment this weekend we decided not to schedule any music Friday night but on Sunday we are pleased to have scheduled Encore Five to perform indoors in the tasting room. See our event calendar for more details.
