Vintage 2023

Harvest is over and the wines are mostly finished with fermentation and barreled down or in the tank for aging. Vintage 2023 should be a very good vintage. After all the erratic ups and downs in temperature and rains here and there, it turned out that 2023 was the warmest vintage to date in terms of heat accumulation with the number of Degree Days reaching 3188 DD or about 8 DD more than the next hottest year in 2015. At this earliest stage of the production, we are tasting luscious wines with excellent flavors and aromatics.

Speaking of great wines we have three really excellent examples of wines aging and drinking very well from 2016 that we have put on sale by the case through the end of November. This helps to reduce our inventory and gives wine club members and retail customers a great deal on some excellent wines.

For entertainment this weekend, we have some talented performers lined up to entertain on Friday and Sunday nights. This weekend as well, we will host the Ukulele Jam on Saturday. See Event Calendar for more details. Entertainment may be inside due to cool weather, but we will make that decision the day of the performance.

We hope to see you in the tasting room with family and friends this weekend enjoying the wine, music and beautiful Fall weather and scenery on display outside.
