The weather in 2022 has been unprecedented in the 20 years we have been tracking heat accumulation for our vineyards. The year began as a cool, wet one lasting through May with great rainfall. In the past, this usually meant a cool summer and a short finish to the vintage year such as in 2010 or 2011. However, as we went into the summer season we saw a shift to hotter weather that has now extended into mid-October. The outlook for the next 10 days is fo continued heat until the 20th of the month or so.
The hot weather has pushed our harvesting to the max as we have now had 14 straight days of harvest and still have 8 more days to go. The good news is that the fruit coming in has amazing numbers and flavors and promises to make amazing wine.
The beautiful weather this fall has also allowed us to host our musical events on the deck and lawn of the tasting room. Check out the calendar under the EVENTS tab for more info about upcoming entertainment. Come out and enjoy the weather, the music, wine and views at Pebblestone. All are welcome including kids and dogs on leash (just the dogs).
